Jhene Aiko Shuts Down Report that She Cheated on Nigerian Husband

American R&B singer and songwriter, Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo better known as Jhené Aiko, is finally speaking up since news that she filed for divorce fromNigerian producer Dot Tha Geniussurfaced on social media.

Last night, in a heated Twitterexchange with people accusing her of infidelity, the American singerwho rarely talks about her private life was forced to set some records straight.

“How you make music about being cheated on to cheat on someone?”And upset fan Jermany asked, and the ‘Wading’ singerchallenged the source of that unfounded claim.

“How are u a journalist that doesn’t do proper research? let me guess … ur credible source is the internet?” Aiko said. And to another fan, she said that folks dragging her are simply dragging themselves. “These people use the internet as their bible. All I can do is pray for them.”

Aiko filed for the dissolution of her brief marriage to the Nigerianmusic producer whose real name is Oladipo Omishore, and she cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as reason for the divorce. They were only married for 11 months.

Fans had always accused the singerof having an affair with Big Seanwho she collaborated with on the album Twenty88. Now she is shutting down the reports.

Also, when another fan accused Big Sean of ‘uprooting’ Aiko from her husband’s home, the singer clarified that they never lived together, and so the notion that she was ‘uprooted’ from any home was simply wrong.
